Xingsen Acid-Washed Activated Carbon is produced from selected carbonaceous raw materials and treated through a controlled acid-washing process to reduce ash and mineral impurities.
The acid-washing process is particularly valuable when cleaner adsorption media and tighter control of inorganic impurities are required. By removing part of the mineral matter associated with activated carbon, the treatment can reduce ash content and, depending on the raw material and process conditions, help expose or unblock part of the pore structure.
Our acid-washed activated carbon is available mainly in coconut shell-based grades, with coal-based grades also available for selected applications. Granular and powdered forms can be supplied in different particle sizes and adsorption specifications.
Unlike standard activated carbon, which is often selected primarily for adsorption capacity, acid-washed grades are chosen when adsorption performance and product purity need to be considered together.
