Fruit shell activated carbon is a granular adsorbent produced from selected fruit-shell biomass through carbonization and activation. Depending on the raw material and activation process, the resulting carbon can have different pore structures, hardness, ash content and adsorption characteristics.
XINGSEN supplies fruit shell activated carbon made from materials such as walnut shells, peach shells and apricot shells. Different grades and particle sizes can be selected according to the target contaminant, treatment process and operating conditions.
Unlike treating all activated carbon grades as interchangeable, we select the product based on the actual application. For example, a liquid-phase treatment system may require a different pore structure and particle size from a gas-phase adsorption system. In some applications, coconut shell activated carbon or pelletized activated carbon may be a more suitable choice.
Our role is therefore not simply to supply one general-purpose carbon, but to provide a suitable activated carbon grade based on your treatment requirements.
Peach shell activated carbon is produced from peach kernels through carbonization and activation. It is available as granular activated carbon in a range of particle sizes for liquid- and gas-phase adsorption applications.
Its performance depends on the selected grade and operating conditions, including iodine value, hardness, particle size, and contact time.

| Granular adsorption media is required | Fruit shell GAC can be considered |
| Specific particle size is required | Select a grade compatible with the equipment and flow conditions |
| Mechanical strength is important | Compare grades based on hardness and operating conditions |
| Liquid-phase adsorption | Evaluate pore structure, particle size and target contaminant |
| Gas-phase adsorption | Compare GAC with pelletized carbon based on flow rate and pressure drop |
| High microporosity is required | Coconut shell activated carbon may be more suitable |
| Rapid adsorption by slurry or dosing | Powdered activated carbon may be more suitable |
| High-flow gas fixed-bed treatment | Pelletized activated carbon may offer advantages |
Activated Carbon Specifications for Your Application
The right activated carbon grade depends on more than the raw material. XINGSEN can supply different specifications according to application and equipment requirements.
Key parameters include:
If you have an existing activated carbon specification, technical data sheet or used-carbon sample, we can evaluate the required grade and recommend a suitable product.
Fruit Shell Activated Carbon Manufacturing Process
Selected fruit-shell raw materials are processed through controlled carbonization and activation to develop the required porous structure.
Raw Material Selection → Carbonization → Activation → Crushing & Screening → Quality Testing → Packaging
Particle size and key quality parameters are checked before shipment to ensure the supplied grade matches the agreed specification.
Fruit shell activated carbon is activated carbon produced from selected fruit or nut shell biomass through carbonization and activation. Different raw materials can produce different performance characteristics.
Not necessarily. The better choice depends on the target contaminant and operating conditions. Coconut shell carbon may be preferred for applications requiring highly microporous carbon, while selected fruit shell grades can provide suitable adsorption performance with specific particle sizes and mechanical properties.
Common materials include walnut shells, peach shells, and apricot shells. Different raw materials can be selected according to the required product characteristics.
Yes. Selected grades can be used for industrial wastewater, drinking water, swimming pool water, and other liquid-phase adsorption applications when the product specifications match the treatment requirements.
