Coconut Shell Granular Activated Carbon

Made of carefully selected natural coconut shells, it is known for its developed microporous structure, extremely high iodine value and methylene blue adsorption value. It is the first choice for deep purification of golden drinking water, decolorization and deodorization of food and beverages, and high-end gas phase adsorption. It has low ash content, high purity and excellent performance.

Coal-based Granular Activated Carbons

Using high-quality anthracite as raw material, it has high strength, high adsorption capacity (especially for larger molecular organic matter and odor) and excellent cost performance. It is widely used in industrial waste gas treatment (VOCs removal), solvent recovery, drinking water pretreatment, chemical refining and other fields.

Coal-based Crushed Granular Carbon

Coal-based crushed granular activated carbon is divided into three types: raw coal-crushed,  briquette-crushed and columnar(pellet)-crushed .

Raw-coal-crushed granular activated carbon:

Coal-based crushed activated carbon is made from high-quality bituminous coal with low ash and low sulfur content produced in Xinjiang, where the ash content of raw coal is less than 2%. It is processed through crushing, screening, carbonization and catalytic activation. The product features strong adsorption capacity, low ash content, few impurities and high bulk density. It can be used for advanced purification of urban drinking water to remove residual chlorine and odors; it is also an advanced purification material in the production of high-purity water and artificial mineral water. For large-scale boiler feed water, it can pre-remove harmful impurities such as COD, which can improve boiler efficiency and extend boiler service life. It can effectively remove toxic substances in water such as COD, pigments and odors. Large granular activated carbon can be used to fill filters and purify air.

Coal-based briquette crushed activated carbon:

Compared with raw coal crushed carbon and columnar activated carbon, the pore distribution of briquette-crushed carbon is more reasonable. By adjusting the pore distribution of activated carbon through coal blending technology, activated carbon with well-developed macropores (high molasses value) can also be produced, which is used in some application fields involving the adsorption of macromolecules. In addition, briquette activated carbon has zero floating property, high strength, and is conducive to regeneration with a higher regeneration yield. Its ash content can be controlled within 10% without pickling. At present, briquette-crushed activated carbon is widely used in the water purification industry. Organic substances in water are not single; they have different molecular weights and require pores of different sizes for adsorption treatment. However, briquette-crushed carbon has a reasonable pore distribution, enabling better adsorption and purification.

Coal-based columnar(pellet) crushed activated carbon:

  1. Pore structure: It inherits the advantages of mesopores and micropores of columnar activated carbon. Meanwhile, due to the irregular particles after crushing, the bed gap is more reasonable, which ensures better fluidity of liquid or gas and high adsorption efficiency.
  2. High strength: Thanks to the columnar forming process, the crushed particles have higher mechanical strength than raw coal crushed carbon, with strong wear resistance. They are not easy to pulverize during filling or use, thus reducing losses.
  3. Ash content and impurities: The ash content is usually low (can be controlled within 5%-10% through processes), with few impurities, making it suitable for scenarios requiring high purification precision.
  4. Adsorption capacity: It has a good adsorption effect on organic substances in water (such as COD, pigments), residual chlorine, odors, as well as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the air, with a wide range of applications.
  5. It is mainly used in water treatment and air purification fields.

Nut Shell Granular Activated Carbon

Made from peach and apricot kernels, it combines good adsorption performance with extremely high mechanical strength and wear resistance. It is particularly suitable for fluidized beds or water treatment systems that require high backwash intensity (such as drinking water and wastewater treatment), as well as some alcohol and oil refining applications that require mild adsorption properties.

Granular Activated Carbon Application

As adsorption medium with highly developed pore structure, granular activated carbon (GAC) can efficiently capture organic matter, odor molecules and heavy metal ions in water treatment, waste gas purification, chemical separation with its excellent specific surface area (usually 500-1500㎡/g) and chemical stability. Through thermal regeneration technology, GAC can be recycled 5-8 times, reducing waste emissions by more than 50% and meeting green production needs.
