Impregnated activated carbon is a chemically modified activated carbon designed to remove contaminants that cannot be effectively treated by conventional activated carbon.
By loading specific chemical agents into the porous structure of activated carbon, the surface properties are enhanced, providing selective adsorption and chemical reaction capabilities. Compared with standard activated carbon, impregnated carbon combines physical and chemical adsorption, making it more effective against challenging pollutants.
